New CX300s Released
by Kevin in A/VA bit like Marmite, you either love or hate in ear headphones. Luckily for me I love them. My original Sennheiser CX 300’s were a complete revelation when I first tried them. They’re comfortable, block out the incessant office noise and make my MP3 players sound so much better than the stock ear buds. As a bonus they don’t make me look like a Cyberman either.
Well deep joy Sennheiser have answered my prayers and released an updated version called, rather unimaginatively, the CX 300-II Precision. They claim that they offer “a powerful, bass driven stereo sound with greater clarity and improved dynamics”.
The CX 300’s come with a 1.2m long asymmetric cable with a standard 3.5mm angled connector. Sennheiser offer a selection of funky modern colours including; black, silver, white, pink and red to match your mood. For those that need a 2.5mm connector that is also available.
Sennheiser list a frequency response of 19 – 21,000 Hz and impedance of 16 Ohm. Three sizes of soft rubber earplugs are supplied which should suit most ear canal sizes and a carrying case stops the cable becoming tangled while not in use.
The CX 300-II Precision’s are priced at £39.99 RRP but you can get them online for as little as £29.99 already which sounds like a bargain upgrade to me. Now where’s my little plastic friend……..
